
8th Grade 'Day at the K' permission slips are due to Mrs. Shaffer tomorrow morning by 8:15am, if your student hasn't submitted one this is their last opportunity. Final rosters, groupings, lunches, and transportation lists are shared and final before 1st period tomorrow.

6th graders had a great time at the park for their testing reward!



For today's Percy Jackson Cabin Challenge, 6th graders matched Greek symbols to the names of Greek Letters!

We Are Hiring: Parsons High School Math Teacher for the 2025-26 School Year!


Parsons Middle School 8th grade students signed letters of intent to play fall sports as freshmen at Parsons High School for the 2025-2026 year. Students signed for volleyball, football, soccer, tennis, cross country, cheer and Dust Kickers.

Parsons Middle School StuCo helped Garfield second grade students during their Read-A-Thon. For every book 2nd grade tested 80% (comprehension) or above on, they put their name on a sticky note in the hall. For every 100 sticky notes, they had a quick dance party in the hall.

6th Graders are competing with their Percy Jackson "Cabin Groups" in daily team building activities as they read The Lightning Thief.





Sixth grade students in Mr. Krull's science class are studying rocks and minerals this week. Students are exploring different properties of many kinds of rocks!








8th Grade goes to KC next Thursday!

Sixth graders in Mr. Krull’s science class presented their volcano projects today. The kids presented very well, worked hard, and enjoyed each other’s work!











This week the leadership class spent several days at Guthridge assisting students with creating PowerPoint projects.











Sherry Woods' science students at Parsons Middle School have been studying Newton's Laws of Motion, kinetic energy, and potential energy. At the end of the study, the students built balloon cars and then had the chance to race them.



Track is canceled today at Independence! There will be no practice.
