Christmas Spirit!
The middle school leadership class came to help my class make solar system mobiles and got to see one of my old students.
Today the middle school leadership class came to our class. They helped us make solar system mobiles! We enjoyed having them. Plus one of them was my former student, love getting to see them.
Ms. Ryan's classroom October/November Integrity Challenge winners were randomly selected after being nominated by their classmates for displaying integrity during counseling class. The prize for this challenge was provided in part by Ms. Ryan and Better Life Nutrition. One student was not available at the time of the picture.
They each had to read a book on Epic and get 100% on the AR test of their favorite animal. Research them, then wrote their paper, Finally paint a 3-D printed animal to display. They worked really hard on these and did amazing work.
Elizabeth has completed all her multiplication facts in 6 seconds or less. Way to go girl!!
It may be cold outside but we can still have fun for recess. Building, playing board games, playing with dolls, being a singer or just relaxing around the room.
Caleb Webster shows Speech Pathologist Emily Ray the board Wright Signs made for the playground area at Garfield to help nonspeaking and minimally speaking students communicate their needs. Thanks to the Parsons Educational Foundation for the mini grant that paid for the sign.
Greenbush is full of opportunities to learn and explore. The lobby has a huge Lego wall and lots of animals to see!

Second grade had a blast at Greenbush learning about rocks, minerals and how natural disasters form the earth.
What changes the Earth's surface? This was the essential question at Greenbush today. Students learned about different types of rocks and how elements like wind and water can change the earth. They did a lot of hands on exploring!
Students also learned about the engineering process and did an activity where they built a structure that was tested on an earthquake simulator.
2nd grade students built a structure to see if it could withstand the earthquake simulator at Greenbush.
Students at Garfield created ocean themed ornaments for this year's Stella Wells tree!
