I love how little Vikings support the bigger Vikings. Today we made a sign to cheer on the tennis team as they went to state. Then students made signs to show the graduates how proud we are of them. 4 students in class have siblings graduating. Mrs. Tierney also has a senior.
The color walk is always so much fun! It was great getting to see current and last students outside of class. The weather was perfect for the fun Garfield tradition.

3rd grade has been making "textured" cakes in Art with Mrs. Shields after learning about how different types of lines can be used to create visual texture. They looked at artist Wayne Thiebaud's cakes and deserts for inspiration!

Pennies for Poems in the Park 2024 was a success! The weather was perfect and the students got to show off their skills reading poetry.
Team Tierney had so much fun reading poems for guests that came to Garfield's poetry jam at the park.
