On Friday we wrapped up a unit on States of Matter by learning the science behind an ice cream float. Students learned about nucleation as the carbonation in the soda reacted to the ice cream. It was a fast experiment!

At Garfield we know that "Attendance Matters". Our young people are doing great things and learning everyday. We want to reward their efforts to be here and on time daily. The students pictured have perfect or nearly perfect attendance and are our weekly attendance winners. Keep up the good work and let's push on through for our class reward party in October.

At Garfield, our sparkling clean building doesn't happen by chance. We have the best custodial crew around and we were glad to honor them yesterday on National Custodian's Day. Thank you to the best of the best. From our daily superstar to our night shift and high school students who go above and beyond, our world is better because of you all. Thank you!
