This month during social studies we learned all about Kansas, so to wrap it up on Kansas’ birthday we created Kansas flip book, played Kansas Jeopardy and made sunflower cookies for snacks.

The first Study Island lunch parties of the year took place last Friday, January 23rd. These second and third grade students have worked really hard to accomplish their goals and challenge themselves to continue to grow academically. The Cardinal Station donates teas to our students who earn their weekly lunch parties with Ms. Ryan and Ms. McCleary. As one could imagine, these lunch parties continue to grow in size until the end of the school year as more and more students accomplish their academic goals of earning Study Island ribbons. Great work Garfield students!
