Thank you Briget at BetterLife Nutrition for helping encourage the students in Ms. Ryan's counseling class to show integrity and do the right thing by providing drinks for our classroom integrity drawing. Three 3rd grade classes received the BetterLife drinks. Five individual students were also drawn and had a special lunch from Taco Mayo with Ms. Ryan (thank you Taco Mayo).
The Cardinal Station has teamed up with Garfield to support our students who have completed one or more Study Island grade level standards to prepare for state assessments. On Fridays, we have lunch time parties with these students.This week we had 25 students celebrating with Ms. McCleary and Ms. Ryan! (only a few are pictured)
Students in Ms. Perez's and Mr. Medina's class practiced counting and using money with a little Jeopardy competition.

Today Mrs. Strode's class went to LCC for a walk through Skip Smith's Art Exhibit after learning about him.
Travis completed all his multiplication facts at 6 seconds on Xtra math. Way to go!!!
Our second grade group read about games played by children around the world! We went outside to try out a few. Stuck in the mud is a common tag game played in Australia. The students also enjoyed hopscotch while comparing it to Snail, a game played in France.

Mrs.Waun's students went over to LCC to see the Skip Smith exhibit! They took a picture beside their favorite art piece!!
Sierra, from Mrs. Strode's class, enjoys learning about different weather conditions like hurricanes and tornadoes, so she decided on her own to research about hurricanes and write a paper about what she learned. Then she presented to her classmates.

Mrs. Strode received a grant from First Book Marketplace to build up our classroom library and putting books in kids hands. I was able to get some class book sets, books for our library and each one of Mrs. Class students got to pick out a book to order and keep for themselves.
