Happy Friday welcoming Cheers in the Lobby
After our applesauce was ready students got to enjoy it as a snack. They added Nerds and Red Hots as a treat. They finished the snack with apple slices and caramel dip. It was a delicious day in Mrs. Tierney’s class.
We made applesauce in Mrs. Tierney’s class today. Each student peeled and apple to add to the applesauce. We cooked it in a crockpot while we listened to a story about apples and did an apple themed Go Noodle brain break. They couldn’t wait to try the finished product.
Mrs. Tierney’s class began the day by having an apple tasting. The overwhelming consensus was that Sweet Tangy apple variety was the best. Each student tried that variety as well as Red Delicious, McIntosh, and Granny Smith.
Ms. Vaughn’s class learned that heat can change the state of matter from a solid to a liquid. The applesauce was a big hit!
Ms. Vaughn’s class enjoyed some science exploration with all things apples today!! We peeled and cored the apples. Placed the in the crockpot to cook all day The apples smelled amazing while cooking!!
Mrs.Waun’s class ended our Empathy unit by wearing our Lenses of Love!
