More math review carnival pictures from Team Tierney this afternoon. They played Place Value Pong, Comparing Numbers Ball Pit, Bowling Subtraction, Math Dominoes, Place Value Yahtzee, and more! There were 8 games in all that student rotated through. It was so much fun!











In the spirit of Math Carnival week, Mrs. Tierney's class had their own math review carnival this afternoon. They played 8 different math games reviewing skills they've learned. They worked together so well and had a lot of fun.









This hard working student was the first to Level Up in AR from Mrs. Tierney's class. She already has over 30 AR points towards the 50 point goal that 2nd graders have for the year. Today she earned a Happy Meal for hitting 30 points.


These 4 students leveled up this week! They have been working hard in class to reach their goals. They showed grit and determination this week so they were honored in our classroom this week. Way to go!





One of our classroom parents brought oranges for the class this week. Mrs. Tierney said she had never seen kids so excited about fresh fruit. They loved their afternoon snack.

These two young men have passed addition in Xtra Math and are working through subtraction now!


Last Friday Mrs. Tierney's students had a fun Flashlight Friday using colored finger lights. They read some awesome books alone and with friends. This is a class full of students who love books!

3rd grade played The Creativity game in Mrs. Shields' art class this week. The goal was for students to think like inventors, designers, or engineers to come up with a creative design or invention. Students were divided into teams and given prompts to base their ideas around.






My sunshine student! Finn has been working toward all of his goals!! He is so excited about multiplication and gaining confidence daily!


Math has never been as much fun as Math Carnival Night at Garfield School, when parents and students come together for an evening to play math games, win prizes and enjoy dinner together.

Thank you to all the families that came to our Math Carnival Night!! We hope you had a wonderful time! We wanted to do a special shout out to Mrs.Shafer and her students at Parsons High School who made the amazing chili and cinnamon rolls!!


Today we started student shout outs!! If another student sees a friend in their class doing something positive! They can write them a shout out card and give them a sticker or a sucker!!
