Ms. Moon's crew is doing our best to
channel Fall temperatures by learning all things apples. We enjoyed the scrumptious treat of caramel apples. Some students even licked their plate. 🍎🍏










Today we celebrated our favorite leader for Bosses Day at Garfield. We surprised him with random, silly balloons and special gifts. Thank you for all you do Mr. Pontious!

Second grade finished up our unit on the States of Matter. What better way to celebrate than to learn about the 3 states of matter in an ice cream float.

Jennings and Molly are Ms. Moon's first superstars of the week. They are always on task and show great leadership qualities of working hard and being a great teammate.

On Friday we wrapped up a unit on States of Matter by learning the science behind an ice cream float. Students learned about nucleation as the carbonation in the soda reacted to the ice cream. It was a fast experiment!

Anderson was our Friday Super Vike. He is an awesome classroom helper. He is always willing to help another student through a difficult task.

Everett is the Viking of the week!! He is a goal getter and a great role model for his peers! He surpasses every goal and is always ready for the next challenge!

Students learned about the chemist,Marie Curie, whose work led to the development of X-rays in medicine! They created an X-ray of their hands.



These students in Ms. Perez’s class are crushing their individual goals! Great way to show hard work and progress.


Third graders learned about the process of pollination using a Mystery Science experiment.
