The weather was perfect today for a trip to the park. This class met a goal of 500 AR points and 50,000 IXL questions answered and earned some fun! We played and had a snack at the park before going back to school.

This hard-working 2nd Grader in Mrs. Tierney's Class has already completed all of the Math topics for 2nd Grade in Study Island! As you can see, he was VERY happy with his much deserved reward! Now he will be moving on to higher level math enrichment.
Garfield students and staff braved the cold to walk downtown to wave flags and cheer on veterans who joined in Parsons' Veterans Day Parade Tuesday morning. Thank you Veterans for your service to this country!
Otis Spunkmeyer fundraising items will be available for pick up on Thursday, November 20th from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Parsons High School Cafeteria. Please make arrangements to pick up items that your student sold.

First Quarter Awards Assembly
Ms. Moon's crew went on a leaf hunt! We learned about why leaves change in the fall and created our owl's feathers using our collections.
Camden is our Super Vike! He is a quiet classroom worker that follows the classroom rules and procedures. He sets a great example for others.
Congrats to Rhett! He has earned 75 AR points.
Garfield families joined in a fun night of STEAM learning activities , with a side of pizza, courtesy of Garfield Title I services, Curious Minds Discovery Zone and the dedicated Garfield staff that puts student learning first.

Third grade had a busy day last Thursday! First, we started our day off visiting the Haunted Stage at Guthridge. Then, we had fun playing games to review our multiplication facts under the black light. Finally, we finished our day off with our Halloween class party.

Study Island is one of our valuable educational programs. These students ate lunch with the teacher today to celebrate finishing all of their Study Island first grade math topics. When they finish second grade topics they are 'on the island' and celebrate with a tropical drink!
