Today the firefighters visited our school. All the kids got a turn to practice calling 911 and walk through different situations.
3rd graders have been learning about Parsons history over the last few weeks and today they visited Parsons Historical Museum and learned more about Parsons.
Morgan, Ms. Moon's daughter, was home from Kstate and brought her new kitten to visit the class.

Today Mrs. Strode's class finished up with finding out if the kids could out run a dinosaur that has the same leg length as them. Only one was able to outrun his dinosaur and that was Marcel. Everyone else was caught by their dinosaur. We had fun with it.

Three more additions to the 25 AR point club in Mrs. Tierneys class. These students read whenever they have a free moment (like when they have finished work early) and take comprehension tests over the books. Readers are leaders!
Students wrote an opinion piece about which animal they think would make the best pet!

Today during science we learned about foot prints and how we can tell if the animal was walking or running. Then we started the activity to find out if we can out run a dinosaur if they are the same height as us.
These students in Ms. Perez's class worked hard all September to meet their classroom goal in Accelerated Reading. Today, they got to celebrate with ice cream! Way to go!
